CAFC Board Installs New Officers

August finds the Chester Andover Family Center busier than ever.

We installed new Board Officers.

Food Shelf Update

The transition at the Food Shelf to in-store shopping continues. We also provide curbside pick up when requested. David Carey is the Thursday Manager and coordinates volunteers, Vermont Foodbank ordering and recipient registration. Chris Vincent is our Friday Manager and fresh produce coordinator.

Thanks to a Vermonters feeding Vermonters Grant, we provide fresh, local produce and fruit to our Food Shelf Recipients every week. We are also appreciative of the local eggs and garden produce donated by friends of the CAFC.

Thrift Shop Update

Visit the Thrift Shop on a Friday, 10-4 or Saturday, 10-3 to meet our new TS managers, Nancy Dourney and Jean Farrell. Nancy and Jean coordinate donation processing to bring you the latest and best quality clothing, jewelry, household goods and linens. We are currently well stocked with Summer and back-to-school clothing. Keep an eye out for pop-up sales, announced on our new roadside sandwich-board sign.

Did you know that the Family Center has a Financial Assistance Program? Consistent with our mission, we provide financial assistance to residents of Chester and Andover struggling to make ends meet. Call 802-875-3236 and leave a message. Your call will be returned.
