Free Range initiates”Eat it Up” Community Service Event to benefit the Chester Andover Family Center
On Thursday, October 25, Jason Tostrup, owner/chef of the Free Range Restaurant in Chester, launched his “Eat It Up” community service initiative. Chef Jason’s goal is to partner with local organizations that serve the community and provide a percentage of an evening’s restaurant proceeds to support the work of the organization. The Chester-Andover Family Center was honored to be the first recipient of this community initiative. Thursday evening found an overflow crowd either already enjoying a delicious dinner or waiting to be seated. Chef Jason provided complimentary hors’dourves that made the wait enjoyable. Diners could also check out information about how the Family Center serves the community. The Family Center is grateful to Chef Jason for this wonderful opportunity to spread the word about our work and for the monetary contribution that will allow us to continue to meet the needs of Chester-Andover residents struggling to make ends meet.
