Food Shelf

Stuff a Bus

The Chester-Andover Family Center Food Shelf provides Chester and Andover residents with supplemental food including non-perishable staples, “fresh” produce, meat and dairy. Food Shelf Recipients shop once a month for their regular food, and every Friday for fresh produce.

Staffed by volunteers, our food shelf provides a food shopping experience that allows recipients to make choices for themselves and their family. The Food Shelf depends on proceeds from Thrift Shop sales and donations to purchase food.

Our partners include the Vermont Food Bank, the Holt Foundation, Healthy Harvest Network, local businesses and citizens. Additionally, donations of shelf-stable foods and fresh produce from businesses, growers and individuals are essential to our operation.

Food Shelf Hours:

Thursdays, 2-6PM

Fridays from 10AM-2PM

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please come to the Food Shelf to complete the Intake Form or download a form by clicking the link below. When you bring the completed form to the Food Shelf, please bring proof of residency. All personal information is kept confidential.
